The main theme of the following multilateral youth exchange (action 1.1. of Youth in Action) is the environment. The event aims to raise the environmental awareness among the participants and also have an effect on the local community of the city of Arad. During the youth exchange the youngsters will concentrate on various environmental issues and activities and will present conclusive materials through the public exhibition at the end of the event. Diverse working methods and non-formal learning will play the major role. Workshops, role plays, groupwork sessions, games and study visits will be used in combination with outdoor activities. The exchange is also connected to the topic of art and culture and another major objective of the project is to increase the awareness of european cultural diversity. Participants will gain the knowledge about different cultures and exchange ideas and experiences.
25 participants aged 18-25 from 5 different countries (4 participants + one group leader from each country) will be hosted at the Parcul Natural Lunca Muresului in western Romania for 8 days (including arrival and departure days) in October 2008.
